Course Description

 Academic and research report writing is an essential activity for the academic community in higher education institutions. As part of the postgraduate/under graduate programmes, students have to submit a dissertation or project report in their last semester. Literature search and reference management are the two essential skills required in academic writing apart from writing skill. The proposed add-on course will discuss the basic concepts of literature search and reference management The course intends to introduce the learner to various literature sources, search strategies and the norms for recording the information about sources and arranging them in the dissertation or project report. After the successful completion of the course, learners will be able to identify the required feature using different search strategies and provide proper documentation of referred sources in the research document.
